Description
The Asus Q302LA-BBI5T14 is a 13.3-inch convertible notebook PC. It has a 360-degree hinge, as seen on the Lenovo Yoga, HP x360 and other series. The touch-enabled laptop can be converted to a classic tablet, as well as “tent” and “stand” presentation modes.
Hardware-wise, the Asus Q302LA-BBI5T14 delivers mid-range main components packed in a 3.8 pound heavy and 0.9″ thick brushed aluminum chassis in black, in contrast with a silver-colored chiclet-style keyboard. Namely, the Intel Core i5-4210U dual-core Haswell processor and 8GB of RAM as the most important parts. They are sufficient for all tasks an average user might throw at a PC. You can count on completely stutter-free web surfing even with lots of browser tabs opened, work all in Microsoft Office applications, and multimedia. Furthermore, the CPU/RAM configuration is a fairly decent solution for some advanced stuff like photo editing or video editing. However, if you do these on daily basis as a professional, laptops with the Intel i7 will be a better choice. Especially, if it’s a quad-core i7 in question. When it comes to storage, the included 500GB hard drive appears to be the weakest point of the Q302LA-BBI5T14 because of its capacity which is currently the smallest on the market and because of its common but sluggish 5,400rpm speed. Any hybrid HDD/solid state drive or pure SSD will provide faster responsiveness and generally read and write speeds. This notebook has no built-in DVD drive.
Specs of the touchscreen 13.3″ display aren’t impressive either. The resolution has ordinary 1366 x 768 pixel count instead of crispier Full HD 1920 x 1080 and wide viewing angle-related IPS technology isn’t present.
In other aspects, the Asus Q302LA-BBI5T14 is a well equipped ultraportable machine. Included are keyboard backlight, stereo speakers, frontal 1-megapixel webcam, three USB ports, HDMI video out port, and a media card reader, as well as Wi-Fi, Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, and Intel Wireless display connections. Asus has omitted the old VGA video output on this model.
The battery has three cells and 4430 mAh capacity, but there’s no info on power autonomy length.
Overall, with it’s well-balanced price, the Q302LA-BBI5T14 fills the gap between the lower-end Pavilion x360 with slower Intel Pentium processors and higher-end Lenovo’s Yoga Pro models with Intel Core CPU options and Full HD IPS displays. As another alternative, you can check out the Asus Q502LA with the same industrial design and larger 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen.

Because I always work at home with my laptop connected to a 27 inch flat led monitor 1920×1200 resolution and after I changed the factory HDD for a 1Tb SSD. Now I have a SUPER 2 in 1 convertible Laptop and Tablet!!
Last week, 10-22-2014, I purchased the ASUS Q302. Yesterday, 10-27-2014, the built-in mouse stopped working. I’ve tried everything I’ve been able to find online as to how to get it working again, but so far, nothing. I would appreciate any and all suggestions as how to fix the problem. Thank you.
I would try to enable the touchpad via the keyboard, if it is accidentally dispabled. I think the key combination for that on the Q302 is Fn + F9. If that doesn’t help then I would go to Control Panel > Device Manager to see if drivers are working properly and update/re-install them if they don’t. Finally, if that doesn’t help, I would try out if the trackpad works under another operating system, such as Linux (you can install it on a Flash drive and run it off of it.) If it doesn’t work in other OS too, then the problem is probably the hardware, so a repair is needed.
Could you please help me my pc is off it doesn’t take the charge whyy the charger works
This computer has been nothing but trash.
this pc has been everything and more then i expected. i set up routine virus checks and defrag cycles to keep it in top performance. Works quick and plays most of my games mid-graphics, and i play skyrim, Hitman series, dragon age games, and mmo’s like warframe no problems. Plus it does everything i need it to do for work and school. Very reliable.
