  1. It’s totally a trash. Mine was newer than my twin, but it got broken easily than hers. It won’t turn on, no power and the battery won’t also charge. Even if i reset it or do kinds of trouble shooting ,it still won’t turn on. There’s no life to it, also some keys are beginning to get crazy and won’t work before its totally dead.

  2. best laptop i ever had in years … bought it in 2014 and still working on with best performance

    • Love my Toshiba. Had it since first came out. All these many years later still a dream to use. Best laptop ever!!

  3. Awesome computer. Heavy duty and strong. Nice looks and feel. Does heavy power work I need to do. Open multiple windows with Adobe software, online uploading web sites. Nice gaming.
Only problem is the cmos battery hook broke off and need to figure how to solder it back on.

  4. I had mine for going back to college, 50 so this laptop got a workout and it is still running strong! Yes mine dropped off my desk but Geek Squad took care of it. Excellent laptop!!

  5. I bought mine in 2014, on my second visit to the USA, in a Best But store at Orlando.

Since then I upgrade memory (16GB) and chenge the slow 1TB HDD for a 256GB SSD.

Running fine for more than 5 years and counting!

    It’s a horse power.

  6. I’ve had mine since its release & still enjoy using it very much. Still looks near new too. The only thing I miss on it is its touchscreen. Win10’s update deleted its touchscreen drivers, rendering that touchscreen useless. Even reverting back to it did not fix it. But otherwise, it’s still an excellent laptop. I just miss it’s original complete perfection & how MS’s Win10 messed with Win8.1’s sheer perfection, killing my Toshiba’s touchscreen. I also did not like how Win10 proved itself very hostile & intrusive. It proved so at its outset and again with its more recent updates. Only difference between now & back then – back then you still had access to human support by direct chat, phone or email. Now all you have is public forum. But that’s Microsoft now. O well. My Toshiba’s still quite usable otherwise, so I really can’t complain with it. It deserves better than what Microsoft throws at it, so it does. But if I knew how to turn it into a Macbook Pro, I would. Because except for Windows, I could not praise my Toshiba P55t-A5118 enough. It’s that wonderful, so it is.

By the way, I’ve no complaints regarding Dynabook taking over Toshiba. I also have the original Dynabook Neo Writer. It’s also a pretty wonderful machine, still. A simple writing tool in a computer-style form factor. They make newer versions of it & in different colors too. But mine still looks brand new & still functions as intended. So despite all the poo-poo regarding Toshiba selling out to Dynabook – Both companies have more than proven themselves wonderful in their own right. I can only imagine the pairing would only enhance each the other, vastly improving both computing, writing & work flow for us all.

Kind regards to all from a very happy Toshiba & Dynabook fan. May their marriage prove successful & highly beneficial to one & all!! :0)

  7. Got mine in 2014 and still works perfectly. Only issue is I cannot use it without having it plugged in, battery life is shot on its own-lasts literally a minute unplugged and will die on me. Just ordered an LG Gram Style 16 though, pretty excited after having this Toshiba for nearly 10 years!
