For professional content creation such as high-resolution photo and video editing or music production, a laptop with high performance is recommended. However, for occasional light content creation tasks like 1080p video and basic photo editing, mid-range performance is sufficient, too. In both cases, laptops used for visual content creation should have at least decent screens.

In most cases, coding tasks like web development or app creation aren’t overly hardware demanding. But still, it is beneficial if your laptop provides at least standard performance and 16GB of RAM or higher for seamless multi-tasking and running OS emulations.

This is one of the small display sizes used for ultraportable laptops. There are however laptops with even smaller screens like 11.6″.

The Qualcomm chips are known for their power-efficiency, but some programs written for the traditional Intel and AMD CPUs may not work on the Qualcomm chips or may have degraded performance. The Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 is excellent for the daily home and office tasks. But, there are faster processors in the family, such as the more widely used X Plus X1P-64-100 and the top-tier Elite series Snapdragon X. The Snapdragon CPUs feature the Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU) that speeds up AI tasks significantly.
Graphics

Qualcomm processors that include the Adreno graphics processor units are all about power efficiency, rather than high graphics rendering performance. Adreno is, however, suitable for light graphics tasks, such as casual light gaming or high-definition multimedia playback.
RAM Size

16GB and greater RAM sizes are recommended for heavy multitasking, gaming, and specialized programs that require a lot of RAM.
Data Storage

256GB is a decent capacity. If you tend to download and store a lot of large files like movies and install many programs, 512GB or more is a better choice.
Keyboard & Touchpad

The keyboard has backlit keys for easier typing in the dark. There’s no separate numeric pad you can typically find on the right side of the keyboard on many laptop models.
